I first began piano tuning while a student at West Virginia where I received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1976. Moving to Rochester after graduation, I began working with other piano technicians to learn more about tuning, repair, and restoration. I also joined the Piano Technicians Guild and attended many of the guild's sponsored seminars to further my expertise. Passing the guild tuning and repair exams, I became a registered piano technician in 1991, and have also had training at the Steinway factory in Long Island City, NY. In addition to piano service I also taught piano privately from 1974-2003.
